Working with our friends at Intelligentsia, the brewers flew to Guatemala to source some of the best coffee in the world, which the brewers could use in launching the very first Coffee Barleywine. The beer is an English-style Barleywine, meaning 'malt forward', and matured in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels over 4 years old before adding La Soledad coffee beans just before packaging to preserve the strong coffee aroma and flavor .
