Bourbon County Bananas Foster Stout welcomes another member of the family this year and makes its debut on the national stage. This recipe was first released in 2017 as Bourbon County Brand Proprietor's Stout, for Chicago drinkers only. This release, loved by many, is particularly close to our innovation brewer Quinn Fuechsl.⁠ ⁠ ⁠ When the brewers first released this beer, the brewery had not yet experimented much with bananas. However, Quinn had a good feeling that the fruit, along with the almond and cassia bark, would make perfect ingredients for a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout – he was indeed right. This decadent pour is sure to bring a little flair to your mouth and is well balanced with deep caramelization, flavors of freshly baked banana bread and warm notes of cinnamon and almond.
