Equilibrium Above The Clouds – 47,3 CL (1 Pint)

If you walk onto the brewery floor on any given day, you'll probably hear the guys playing a lot of NY hip-hop from the late 90s to early 00s. About 2 weeks ago the brewers were brewing this as yet unnamed beer while “Above The Clouds” by Gang Starr was playing. Given the recipe and style of what was being cooked, the brewers thought it would be a good idea to name it after the song being played and one of our favorite groups around here. Above the Clouds uses a heavy oat base and a whirlpool blend of Citra and Idaho 7. Then the brewers dry hopped it with Citra and the largest dose of Nelson yet and a touch of lactose to further enhance the already velvety feel. It has an opaque bright straw yellow with flavors of mixed citrus, a hint of sweet pine, gooseberry and faint notes of white wine grapes. The Nelson hops come into their own and the brewers find the flavors deep and complex, while the #EQjuice finish is smooth and velvety thanks to our hopping processes.
