De Garde The Kriekenmaak 2019 - 75 CL

This beer matures for an average of two years in oak barrels after a night in our cool ship. After this long maturing period, the beer is transferred to secondary oak barrels with lots of Montmorency and Morello sour cherries. After a lengthy refermentation, the beer is again transferred to whole Tahitian and Madagascar vanilla beans and whole Ceylon cinnamon sticks. Finally, the blend is assembled, packaged and naturally conditioned in bottle and barrel. We don't want this beer to taste exactly like a cherry pie, but rather to complement the naturally occurring herbal and vanillin properties that the refermentation with sour cherries produces.
